(2349) Conoidal dam
A dam that can be considered to have been formed by the juxtaposition of a certain number of blocks. The geometrical definition is as follows: The upstream face is a plane, slightly inclined to the vertical, the downstream face is a conoidal surface generated by straight lines, when they touch the horizontal at the crest they are orthogonal thereto and repose over a directrix drawn in a horizontal plane (illustrated).
